Is there an actual tutor taking the course and can I speak to them?

Yes, there’s a live tutor present throughout the course. You can chat to the tutor, ask questions, get immediate feedback and speak to other delegates.

How does a Live Online course differ from a standard face-to-face course?

The course is delivered in real time, following the typical programme and timings of a face-to-face course.  The only real difference is that the trainer isn’t in the room with you!

I know your face-to-face courses are always very interactive, can we still do group exercises and discussions?

Yes, we still include lots of group work, exercises and discussion via the use of breakout rooms. These are really easy to use – we’ll show you how. To maintain the face-to-face element we encourage delegates to keep their camera on, so we keep a group feel, obviously, it’s up to you.

I think sitting in front of a screen all day will be tiring – is it?

Live online training can be a little more intense than face-to-face as you are in front of a screen, however, we pack in lots of interaction and have plenty of breaks to get you away from the screen.

I’ve not used a learner platform before, what if it goes wrong?

Don’t worry – we’ve all learnt from experience! Achieve is quite easy to use and we’ll start with some hints and tips before we start. If you do leave or disconnect yourself – no problem, just join the call again!

I’m working remotely, can I still take part?

Yes, of course, we can train anyone anywhere! So, if you’re on-site or at home you can log on just the same, you just need a stable internet connection and a computer/laptop with a camera and microphone.

Do I still get course notes?

Yes, to get the full benefits of online learning we send out soft copy notes beforehand, so if you still prefer a hard copy you can print them off before the course starts. Soft copy notes are more portable, easier to access and, if you’re WFH, less work clutter! Obviously, there are environmental benefits too.

Can I still take regulated exams on an online course?

Yes, our awarding body Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) have an industry-leading remote invigilation service which we use. We’ll send you more details of how this works before the course.

Can we have multiple sites on the same course?

Of course, you can have as many sites logging on as you need.  We can work around your business requirements to make sure you get the most out of your training.
