Course Information

This live online 4-hour course is part of our Micro Short Series and provides an essential introduction to what makes a food product microbiologically safe. It focuses on microorganisms, raw materials and manufacturing processes, helping delegates understand how to design safety into products from the outset.

By the end of the course, you will understand key food safety legislation, where microorganisms come from, how their growth is controlled, how they are destroyed, and how product shelf life is determined. You will also be able to explain what makes a product microbiologically safe in a manufacturing environment.

This course is aimed at NPD professionals and those responsible for HACCP plans. A basic understanding of microorganisms (including vegetative cells, spore formers and toxin producers) and factors affecting microbial growth is recommended, as these topics will be covered as a refresher.

Cost: £275 + VAT per person, or book two separate live online modules for £500 + VAT (normally £275 + VAT each).
The price includes digital handouts, a workbook, and a certificate.
